It belongs to a group of medicines called biguanides<\/li>\n<li>Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that enables the body to take up glucose (sugar) from the blood. Your body uses glucose to produce energy or stores it for future use.<\/li>\n<li>If you have diabetes, your pancreas does not produce enough insulin or your body is not able to use the insulin it produces properly. This leads to a high level of glucose in the blood. LYCIS Oral solution helps to lower your blood glucose to a level as close to normal as possible.<\/li>\n<li>If you are an overweight adult, taking <strong>Lycis\u00ae <\/strong>oral solution over a long period also helps to reduce the risk of complications associated with diabetes. <strong>Lycis\u00ae <\/strong>Oral solution is associated with either stable body weight or modest weight loss.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lycis\u00ae <\/strong>Oral solution is used to treat patients with type 2 diabetes (also called \u201cnon-insulin-dependent diabetes\u201d) when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient to control blood glucose levels. You may need more frequent tests if you are an elderly person or if your kidneys are not working properly. On first use, insert the bottle adapter tightly into the neck of the bottle, ensuring that it fits well to avoid any leakage.<\/li>\n<li>Insert the syringe into the opening of the bottle adapter<\/li>\n<li>Turn the bottle upside down and fill the syringe with a small amount of the solution by pushing the plunger down.<\/li>\n<li>Push the plunger up to remove any bubbles.<\/li>\n<li>Pull the plunger to the graduation mark on the syringe that corresponds to the amount in ml prescribed by your doctor.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the filled syringe from the bottle in an upright position.<\/li>\n<li>Release the contents of the syringe into the mouth. Repeat steps 2 to 7 as necessary to achieve the required dose prescribed by your doctor.<\/li>\n<li>Rinse the syringe and replace the cap on the bottle (the syringe adapter should remain in place). Additional symptoms are reduced body temperature and heart rate. If you notice any of these symptoms you should seek medical help immediately, as lactic acidosis can lead to coma.
